The TOADS Spring Show for 2024 was a double bill of two short comedy murder mystery plays written by Bruce Kane, \u201cThe Big Snooze\u201d and \u201cBite Me\u201d, featuring hard-boiled private eye \u201cDick Shamus\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first adventure, \u201cfictional detective\u201d Shamus sets out to find who killed his old pal Humpty Dumpty, then for the second adventure he heads to Transylvania to investigate the disappearance of the country’s virgins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These quirky plays are in the \u201cradio play\u201d or \u201cscript in hand\u201d format \u2013 they are written to be performed by actors at microphones reading from scripts (in the style of an old-time radio broadcast) but performed to a live audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auditions<\/strong> were held in the Christy Hall, Old Alresford on Sunday 17th March 2024 at 6pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rehearsals<\/strong> started on Sunday 24th Match<\/strong> at 7pm, and ran until show week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shows took place on Tuesday 14th May 2024, Friday 17th May 2024 and Saturday, 18th May 2024 at\u00a07:30pm<\/strong>\u00a0each evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
